What the Hand Symbol represents

Someone recently asked me what the symbol of the hand meant. 

This symbol represents a gesture to stop for a minute and think of all that you have, then give up what you can to help the struggling people of our world.

It is with this hand that we earn what we have;

It is this hand that gives freely;

It is the hand that receives from the care and compassion of others;

It is the hand that will learn, create, and build a way to a better tomorrow;

It is the hand that says thank you!
